FAQs

Q. How far in advance do I need to schedule a group course with ETR?

A.  30 days is preferred, but we can often accommodate class needs with shorter notice.

Q. How long are course certifications good for?

A.  It depends on the course. First aid, CPR, and AED certifications are valid for two years. Sports First Aid, Wilderness First Aid, and ACLS are also good for two years. Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens requires annual updating per OSHA.

Q. Do you make accommodations for people with disabilities?

A.  Yes. If you have a disability as defined by ADA we will make the necessary accommodations to see that you can appropriately participate in any courses.

Q. Do online courses lead to course certification?

A.  Blended learning options are in demand. Those who complete the online courses receive an acknowledgement upon successful completion of the online course. They receive official course certification if they complete the separate skills portion of the course with one of our instructors.

Q. Does ETR provide courses for children as well as adults?

A.  ETR provides several courses designed for kids ages 11-16. These include Babysitter Lessons and Safety Training (BLAST), Teen Responder, and Pet Aid.
