2021 Emergency Cardiac Care and CPR Guidelines
The American Heart Association provides the guidelines for training and emergency care in the United States through its issuance of “Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care Guidelines” that are periodically updated. In addition to the science of resuscitation, the most recent guidelines address health disparities, management of opioid-related emergencies, and physical, social, and emotional needs of patients and their caregivers after survivors leave the hospital.
