Advanced Wilderness First aid (16 hr)

This is a two part class. Part 1 requires you to complete the online portion of the course prior to 10.3.2021. You will receive an access code for the online course under separate email after registering. Part 2 involves skills practice. This is held on 10.3.2021 at Camp Potomac Woods 13932 Potomac Woods Lane Leesburg, VA 20176. The course content includes essential information for when medical help is more than one hour away, including how to signal for help, when to evacuate, modified first aid supplies, handling injuries and illnesses from altitude illness and wild animal encounters to lightning strikes and bites and stings. Extensive scenario practice. This advanced 16-hour course meets Boy Scouts of America requirements and exceeds the requirements for the Girl Scouts of the USA.  Certification is valid for 2 years. years.
